Games I want to play!

Hey

So because of my new obsession with Twitch (You should all check it out if you love streaming of games and everything!) I have wanted to expand my gaming experience and move from flash games to a real gamer!

Here are a small list of games that I want to get into and play! Though they are in no particular order with a small description of each game and why I want to play it

1. Darkest Dungeon

“Darkest Dungeon is a challenging gothic RPG about the stresses of dungeon crawling. You will lead a band of heroes on a perilous side-scrolling descent, dealing with a prodigious number of threats to their bodily health, and worse, a relentless assault on their mental fortitude! Five hundred feet below the earth you will not only fight unimaginable foes, but famine, disease, and the stress of the ever-encroaching dark. Darkest Dungeon focuses on the humanity and psychological vulnerability of the heroes and asks: What emotional toll does a life of adventure take?
Darkest Dungeon is not a game where every hero wins the day with shiny armor and a smile. It is a game about hard trade-offs, nearly certain demise, and heroic acts“

This game is epic! I have had a small play of it and have watched it being played on twitch. Its such a challenging game where you could play it again and again with every outcome would come out differently (Trust me I have started more than once).  The characters are great and different with some cool abilities and the villains are creepy gross and awesome. The game is still in its early stages however and the ending isn't completely finished plus there is some little annoyances and the enough of stress the characters go through can be frustrating as they can go insane and that can make the level you are on a lot harder but I think this game has such great potential to be awesome and I want in on it!

2. Heros of Newerth

“Heroes of Newerth pits two teams of players against each other: the Legion and the Hellbourne Both teams are based at opposite corners of the map in their respective bases. Bases consist of buildings, creep spawn points, towers, a hero spawning pool, and a central structure. The goal of the game is to either destroy the central structure, the World Tree (Legion) or Sacrificial Shrine (Hellbourne), of the opposite base or force the other team to concede. Players achieve this by selecting heroes with unique skills to combat the other team.. The different game modes are: Co-op, Player Hosted, Normal, and Casual. Co-op matches players either with other players or with bots against a team of bots. Player Hosted allows players to customize their games and then host them to a list for others to join. Casual is similar to a Normal game in terms of layout and game play. However, they differ in other ways such as an included courier for each side at the start of the game and increased gold and experience earnings throughout each match. In Matchmaking games, Heroes of Newerth groups players by their Match Making Rating (MMR) via an algorithm. A new player has an MMR of 1500 and then each ranked game played changes that MMR, going up if the player wins and down if the player loses“

The aim of this game is to destroy the other teams bases with your team and the help of creeps! You level up and buy cool items to boost your skills.
There are heaps of heroes that you can be all with different skills and abilities, now I know that there is debate as to whats better HoN, LOL (League of Legends) and Dota 2 but I have just decided on the one I had been exposed to first which was HoN. Its a good strategy game and its cool to think I can play with people all over the world! Plus the heroes are super cool and look cool too I love looking through the avatars tehe

3. Starbound

“In Starbound, you take on the role of a character who’s just fled from their home planet, only to crash-land on another. From there you’ll embark on a quest to survive, discover, explore and fight your way across an infinite universe. You’ll encounter procedural generated creatures and weapons, discover populated villages and abandoned temples. Explore planets dotted with dungeons, eyeball trees and treasure. Make use of over a hundred materials and over one thousand in-game objects to build a sprawling modern metropolis or a sleepy secluded cabin in the woods, and do all of it alone or with friends!

Starbound lets you live out your own story of space exploration, discovery and adventure. Settle down and farm the land, hop from planet to planet claiming resources, or make regular visits to populated settlements, taking on jobs and earning a living. NPCs are scattered about the worlds, offering quests and challenges for those looking for a little extra excitement in their lives.

Discover new crops, creatures and weapons, capture monsters to keep as companions and clear dungeons of their loot. Complete quest lines that let you delve into the greater galactic mysteries! From abandoned bunkers to creepy temples, Starbound’s richly detailed universe offers a host of places to investigate and tales to unfold. Follow the story or create your own, experience the game how YOU want to.

Players love to get creative, and with Starbound, we've tried to offer as much creative scope as possible. Foraging and crafting provides the player with numerous resources and items to kit themselves out to suit their playing style. Building allows you to create wonderful, expansive worlds to call your own. Then head off into the wilderness of multiplier. Customize your spaceship to be your home away from home, then journey to an uncharted planet, and lay down the building blocks for a new life.”

This game sounds really cool you have a space ship and you move from planet to planet doing quests and collecting items for your ship and yourself. I have watched this game  a lot and its still in development as well with updates and what not but I think this game can be really awesome plus getting to pick what kind of people means you get different outfits and get to look cool with epic weapons. I think its a little different and more like the games I have played in the past.

4. H1Z1

“Enter a world that has been overrun by zombies and fellow survivors since the H1Z1 virus outbreak. Fight for your life against the infected and against the brutality of others as you attempt to live and see another day. Every moment is borrowed time with one question to answer… Will You Survive? “

This game like many on this list is in the alpha stage and before anyone wants to buy it you should know that there are bugs because they are still working on it. And one thing I like about it is the fact that with early access they actually want you to comment and give your own advice to make the game better, from watching twitch streamers you see that the developers are actually watching too and being streamers themselves so that they see and hear the problems. This game just seems cool with collecting and getting to build its like a shooting game mixed with mine craft :P And it doesn't just have the freedom for you to roam around collecting resources, building a base and fighting not only zombies but other players you can also play battle royal. Where you fight against a big group of people with massive gun loot and its a fight tot he death not only against players but killer toxic gas!
Super excited to give this a go as it looks fun and different and who doesn't love kicking some zombie butt, who knows maybe its good practice if a real zombie apocalypse!

5. Counter Strike

This game has been around for a long time and I have been watching it for a very long time but I kinda want to give it a go with the newest one to come out, the basic description of this game is that you are in 2 teams terrorists and counter terrorists and you have to shoot each other while the terrorists try to plant a bomb to win.
There are many different types in the new version which are:

Classic: Competitive
This is the classic game play that made Counter-Strike famous. Queue up and join a 5v5 best-of-30 match using standard competitive Counter-Strike rules on one of the classic maps. You can join a match on your own, or form a team and enter a match as a unit.

Classic: Casual
Ready to play some Counter-Strike, but don’t want to commit to a full match? Find a casual match and play at your own pace. In Casual mode, players automatically receive body armor and defusal kits and gain bonus rewards for kills.

Demolition
In demolition mode, players take turns attacking and defending a single bombsite in a series of maps designed for fast-paced gameplay. Players are automatically granted a starting weapon, and advance through a sequence of firearms when they register a kill. If you’re up to the challenge, you can try to register a kill each round and reach the ultimate weapons, powerful sniper rifles!

Arms Race
Arms race is a gun-progression mode featuring instant re spawning and a ton of close-quarter combat. Players gain new weapons immediately after registering a kill as they work their way through each weapon in the game. Get a kill with the final weapon, a golden knife, and win the match.

I'm excited to start something kinda difficult for me by playing a full shooter game as I haven't played any before and twitch has also helped me learn more about it too! I want to try something different. And this one looks really cool and all of the CS seem really good so I might try play a couple!

If any games sound exciting leave one in the comments, and I might do another list soon too of more games!

I hope you are doing well and have a great day
Peace : )

(Info and pictures from Steam for each game, I own nothing but the free words yo)
