More Anticipated Reads for 2016!

Hey!

So I didn't want to have such a massive list but I then remembered there was a hell of a lot more books that I needed to read!

THE GREAT HUNT by WENDY HIGGINS

This is the new series by one of my favourite authors Wendy Higgins, who also wrote the Sweet Evil trilogy. This series followed demons and sin while her new series The Great Hunt takes on a completely new concept following a somewhat of a retelling to the brothers Grimm story, 'The Singing Bone'. I'm excited to see where she is going to take the story as I have always been a fan of the Brothers Grimm but also to see her writing go from a more paranormal side to a full on fantasy series I love a good book with some of those classic features with castles bad ass hunters and epic female heroines. There has been a lot of re tellings at the moment of fairy tales and things but its great to see someone taking a lesser known story and reimagining it. I loved Anna from her first especially being a strong female character so I can't wait to see what she does with her new lead Princess Aerity.  I love this cover and it really makes me want to pick it up, give me all badass fantasy kickass females and epic hot men! This is going to be released really soon in March on the 8th!

Goodreads Synopsis

"Kill the beast. Win the girl.

A strange beast stirs fear in the kingdom of Lochlanach, terrorizing towns with its brutality and hunger. In an act of desperation, a proclamation is sent to all of Eurona—kill the creature and win the ultimate prize: the daughter of King Lochson’s hand in marriage.

Princess Aerity understands her duty to the kingdom though it pains her to imagine marrying a stranger. It would be foolish to set her sights on any particular man in the great hunt, but when a brooding local hunter, Paxton Seabolt, catches her attention, there’s no denying the unspoken lure between them…or his mysterious resentment.

Paxton is not keen on marriage. Nor does he care much for spoiled royals and their arcane laws. He’s determined to keep his focus on the task at hand—ridding the kingdom of the beast and protecting his family—yet Princess Aerity continues to challenge his notions with her unpredictability and charm. But as past secrets collide with present desires, dire choices threaten everything Paxton holds dear.

Inspired by the Grimm Brothers’ tale, “The Singing Bone,” New York Times bestselling author Wendy Higgins delivers a dark fantasy filled with rugged hunters, romantic tension, outlawed magic, and a princess willing to risk all to save her people."

TITANS by VICTORIA SCOTT

This woman sure knows how to write, I completely love her writing style and the characters that she comes up with really pulls you in where you just like DAYUM! So I am super excited about her new book Titans, set sort of now but where there are these races much like our normal horse races but there are MECANICAL!. I have never read anything like thisd before so it makes me even more excited, but I feel like this may be one of those books where the less you know the better the experience so I have read the synopsis but no more. The covers too for Victoria Scotts books are so great I love her Fire & Flood covers like they did a great job and this cover is great too, you can tell a bit about what the story is but I love the colour and can't wait to add this to my bookshelf. I'm excited to see where this goes and it is out soon Feburary the 23rd!

Goodreads Synopsis

"Ever since the Titans first appeared in her Detroit neighborhood, Astrid Sullivan’s world has revolved around the mechanical horses. She and her best friend have spent countless hours watching them and their jockeys practice on the track. It’s not just the thrill of the race. It’s the engineering of the horses and the way they’re programmed to seem so lifelike. The Titans are everything that fascinates Astrid, and nothing she’ll ever touch.

She hates them a little, too. Her dad lost everything betting on the Titans. And the races are a reminder of the gap between the rich jockeys who can afford the expensive machines to ride, and the working class friends and neighbors of Astrid’s who wager on them.

But when Astrid’s offered a chance to enter an early model Titan in this year’s derby, well, she decides to risk it all. Because for a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, it’s more than a chance at fame or money. Betting on herself is the only way she can see to hang on to everyone in the world she cares about"

RIDERS by VERONICA ROSSI

This author is known for her other series Under the Never Sky which is still on my must read list but I am slow getting onto this bandwagon. BUT this is her new series that sounds just as awesome and really makes me want to pick this up. Its cool that she is going to look at a more supernatural/fantasy side instead of the sci-fi I have heard nothing but great things about her books and her style so I want to go into this somewhat blind and see what will happen. Its also cool to see her do this from a male POV too and it seems like a great idea too I mean there are not that many books that I have read where we are looking at the Apocalypse and the 4 horse men! I'm ready to see someones play on this concept as there is so many great ways to take it so bring this on! It is already out it came out on February 16th. And hey how awesome are the covers for these books this year I will go and find this in person cause I need to see if its as beautiful as it looks!

Goodreads Synopsis

"Nothing but death can keep eighteen-year-old Gideon Blake from achieving his goal of becoming a U.S. Army Ranger. As it turns out, it does.

While recovering from the accident that most definitely killed him, Gideon finds himself with strange new powers and a bizarre cuff he can’t remove. His death has brought to life his real destiny. He has become War, one of the legendary four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Over the coming weeks, he and the other horsemen—Conquest, Famine, and Death—are brought together by a beautiful but frustratingly secretive girl to help save humanity from an ancient evil on the emergence.

They fail.

Now—bound, bloodied, and drugged—Gideon is interrogated by the authorities about his role in a battle that has become an international incident. If he stands any chance of saving his friends and the girl he’s fallen for—not to mention all of humankind—he needs to convince the skeptical government officials the world is in imminent danger.

But will anyone believe him?"

UNTITLE SHADOWFALLS BOOK by C.C HUNTER

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS! I have grown to love the Shadow Falls series starting from reading Kylie's story as she learns about who and what she was, then Della's After Dark series as she tries to finally deal with being a Vampire and to get some control in her life. BUT now Miranda is getting a full novel about herself. This series is just growing and growing which is great cause I love the world where all the supernatural creatures you thought were a myth are real! There isn't much of a plot or a full on release date for this novel and sadly it will only be one but I am excited to finally get back into Miranda's witchy head and see where she can go. She is such an easy character to relate to and I have always held a special place for Miranda. This is a great young adult series and is great for all ages especially when your just getting into YA, however Della's story is a little more grown up it will be cool to see what kind of style this new book will be. I so recommend this series from the plots, friendships, epic supernatural beings, romance and adventure creates a great book. Hopefully it will be out this year around the end fingers crossed! You can read them in any order if you really want as there are heaps of Novellas as well but I think its best to start at the beginning with Kylie

Shadow Falls book #1 Born at Midnight - Kylies Story
Goodreads Synopsis

"Welcome to Shadow Falls camp, nestled deep in the woods of a town called Fallen…

One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just “troubled.” Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.

Kylie’s never felt normal, but surely she doesn’t belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn’t complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek’s a half-fae who’s determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin’ hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn’t be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.

Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs…"

MOON CHOSEN by P.C CAST

This is a new series by PC Cast that I only really just found out about and there are not a lot of information out yet. Its being labeled YA fantasy though the thing to note about P.C Cast is she doesn't really stick to this so it can always be an exciting touch. The characters are late teens early 20s, it is set in the Pacific NW, in and around Portland, OR, and Sauvie Island; the setting time is in the future - centuries after a massive ecological apocalypse that completely changed our world; animals feature predominately in the series - as do ancient goddesses/gods. She originally wrote the the House of Night series with her daughter set in Tulsa about Vampyres being real and the issues that come out when you mix humans with this supernatural character. I loved the way she writes and adds so much detail especially having the story come back to nature and goddesses. I'm excited to see where this new series will go and it seems super interesting. It is expected to be released on October 18th

"Goodreads Synopsis" - really not a synopsis but hey

"About Mari, an Earth Walker coming to know her powers and her attraction to her mortal enemy."

SCARLET RAIN - ESCAPED BOOK #2 by KRISTIN CAST

This is the daughter of P.C Cast who co wrote the House of Night series, and I was really excited to start her new series when I found out she was writing the Escaped book one Amber Smoke. This was cool I mean I am a lover of Mythology and this is a great play on the Greek myths of the Furies who I haven't seen very many people do!. Its not going for the normal children of gods but children of Furies and Oracle which are such important part mythology. So When I first read Amber Smoke I went in wondering what this was really going to be about and was happily surprised, the characters are great and easy to relate, the plot was interesting and held my attention, made me want to read more and I felt like I just needed more from the book. My only worry is the fact that there is just a little bit of insta-love which is a little eh but I do want to know where the story will go. This is set to be released on May the 17th. Plus the cover was just released and I really like it better than the first one!

AMBER SMOKE #1

Goodreads Synopsis

"There is a world that runs parallel to our own, a world in which the souls of the damned are caged, where they are looked over by the Furies, and where they spend eternity in torment, mirroring the devastation and mayhem they created when alive.

Someone has opened the cage.

The worst of terrors has crossed the barrier that separates our world from theirs, and the Furies send a great, albeit untested warrior—their only son, Alek—to try to bring those souls back. He is young and handsome, headstrong and impulsive, and he won’t be able to do it alone.

Eva has grown up, beautiful and beloved, but surrounded by secrets. First, she will be hunted in an ancient feud that will threaten her life. Then, she will become the hunter.

With the police closing in and two worlds on the verge of crumbling around them, Alek and Eva must find each other, discover the limits of their powers, and work together to save everything they hold dear, including one another. Blending elements of mythology with the dazzling storytelling that her fans have devoured through the House of Night series, Kristin Cast weaves a spellbinding and passionate tale that starts a thrilling new series with an explosive charge."

So hopefully this will be the end for a while and I can wait and do more in the next few months! Love me some books and love me some pretty covers

Hope your doing well and have a great day
Peace : )

PERFEKT ORDER & PERFEKT CONTROL by S.T BENDE

Hey!

I have finally discovered this author a few months ago and have fallen in love with her characters and stories so lets talk about one of her series the Ære Saga

PERFEKT ORDER
Title: Perfekt Order

Author: S.T Bende

Series: The Ære Saga #1

Publisher: 8th December 2015

Genre: NA/Mythology

Goodreads Synopsis: "All's fair when you're in love with War.

For seventeen-year-old Mia Ahlström, a world ruled by order is the only world she allows. A lifetime of chore charts, to-do lists and study schedules have helped earn her a spot at Redwood State University’s engineering program. And while her five year plan includes finding her very own happily-evah-aftah, years at an all-girls boarding school left her feeling woefully unprepared for keg parties and co-ed extracurricular activities.

So nothing surprises her more than catching the eye of Tyr Fredriksen at her first college party. The imposing Swede is arrogantly charming, stubbornly overprotective, and runs hot-and-cold in ways that defy reason . . . until Mia learns that she’s fallen for the Norse God of War; an immortal battle deity hiding on Midgard (Earth) to protect a valuable Asgardian treasure from a feral enemy. With a price on his head, Tyr brings more than a little excitement to Mia’s rigidly controlled life. Choosing Tyr may be the biggest distraction—or the greatest adventure—she’s ever had."

So this book follows Mia as she gets ready to make one of the biggest moves in her life... shes going to collage! She is so geeky and organized that she creates for an iteresting character especially as I wish I was this good! Everything is planned to perfektion but that all changes when she meets Tyr.

I love the way there relationship develops as she is so clear cut that it was exciting to see how she would cope with the mythological aspect. She is such an easy character to relate to, she is very introverted but has another side to her that makes her a great main heroine because she is a mix of geeks and athletic. But she is really loyal and I love her homey touch with her relationship with her brother who is just pushing her to try something new and collage is the greatest place to start. And then you have Tyr who is the perfekt balance of so gorgeous, mysterious and extremely confusing and it was great to have a heroine that was so kick ass and was able to be interesting but put Tyr in his place! And being the god of war he is not like most brooding male characters he has a story and its fun seeing him develop as well as Mia.

I really like the balance in this book too, you get the building of relationships between Mia and her roommates, her brother, and Tyr but it also just gives us all the action as well from the first chapter. It helps to keep you entertained and pulls you in. The other thing I love about the story is you have the normal things you need in a book, romance, action, friendships, beautiful guys but she never forgets to add the mythology on such a level that its not too much it great to have this information and especially in a way that is important to the story but still enough to keep you guessing.

I love some of the other characters in the book too, like Brynn and Hendrik they are such an AWESOME addition to the book. Brynn is just so bubble and happy but she is also serious who is a great adviser to Mia about all of the changes. Hendrik is so funny and he puts a great sarcastic touch to the book especially with his relationship with Brynn and more importantly Tyr. Plus they are both super smart, it makes the characters more believable instead of epic Asgardian warriors.

The characters are so likable with such a great story it makes for such an easy read and quick too, I read it in no time. It grips you in and holds your attention and it really makes me interested in this mythology, I was so sad to finish it but could not wait to start with the next one!

PERFEKT CONTROL

Title: Perfekt Control

Author: S.T Bende

Series: The Ære Saga #2

Publisher: February 9th 2016

Genre: NA/Mythology

Goodreads Synopsis: "Brynn Aksel is a valkyrie—a battle goddess tasked with protecting both the God of War and the future of Asgard. She fends off giants and dark elves with an iron fist, a glossy smile, and no less than perfekt control. She’s focused one-hundred-percent on rising through the valkyrie ranks, and not at all on her lifelong crush on Henrik Andersson—the one guy in all the realms who could be her undoing.

Henrik serves as War’s other bodyguard, and he’s too focused on protecting their shared charge to realize that Brynn’s a girl. When an unprecedented surge of darkness abducts the Goddess of Love, Brynn’s already-steely focus is singularly directed on her new assignment—accompany Henrik to recover the realms’ source of light before the cosmos descends into chaos.

While battling demons, dragons, and the not-quite-dead, it becomes clear that immortality does not equal invincibility. And when Hel herself puts a hit on Brynn, the valkyrie has to decide if staying in control is worth losing everything . . . or if it’s time to rule the realms."

This second book in the series follows Mia's best friend and epic Valkyrie warrior Brynn, who along with her mega crush Hendrik is protector of the Norse God of War! Until the beautiful love Goddess Freya goes missing she must band together and go on a mission with her crush for her whole life Hendrik Andersson!.

I love the character of Brynn she is such a badass warrior and could kick anyone's butt however she has such a sensitive side with a lot of things going on making her really relateable. She has so much going on with her past that she just hasn't dealt with it and watching her grow through this book and getting into her head was great and refreshing.

Its interesting to read from a characters POV that is in this Asgardian world and not looking in from the outside so the mythology is just great especially as we see a lot more realms in this one! This is definately not like any other book that I have read and is so different to Bende's other books. I love the plot and the way the story goes you never know whats going to happen or where they are going, I mean they really do go to Hel and back... literally. The writing style is just so easy that you fly through it as the story is so inviting and exciting as there is a bit more of a step up in the action department in this book. The other thing I love about Bende's books is the fact that the female characters are so strong and can stand on there own, they don't need a male character to save the day, this is especially true with Brynn but Hendrik is still lovely!.

I love the character of Hendrik and was so happy to find out that these 2 were getting there own book, he is just so smart, a badass warrior and also has a sweet side you really appreciate him as a character especially his relationship with Brynn. She has always thought of them as friend zone and it doesn't help that being a Valkyrie means she needs to wait till she is a captain with her honor intact before being able to meet her soul mate. But they have the best banter and its like at times there brain is the same as they bounce epic scientific ideas off each other.

Its great to see them grow together but also to see Brynn's relationship with other characters such as Mia and especially Tyr. Who has known Brynn her whole life like Hendrik but knows her feelings for him and understands what she is going through but gets it so he can be a shoulder for her to lean on.

Once again an awesome book, its great to not only continue on from the first book but to also see it take a new action pack turn. The next book is definitely on my must have list!

These books are great and I can't wait to see where this saga goes next with Elsa's story!

I hope you have a great day, and are doing well
Peace : )

Anticipated Reads of 2016

Hey!

So there are a few books that I am super excited to come out there year and this isn't even all of them but I thought I would make a start as I have already pre ordered some and some don't even have release dates!!!! These are in no particular order but I gotta get me these books this year and fingers crossed these actually come out this year

CURSED MAGIC by MADELINE FREEMAN

This is the 5th book in the Clearwater Witches series, following Krissa as she moves to a new town and soon realizes there is some crazy stuff going on and not just with the town but herself! Found a cover but still no plot or exact release date which is a running theme on this list... I fell in love with this series last year and have been a fan ever since, its easily relatable for me coming from a smaller city and the added magical influence really pulls it together. There is a lot of ups and downs and some crazy stuff happening especially the last book in the series I mean that ending!!!! I am not really a fan of the covers but love the background of them but it does show the main character of Krissa growing as you look through them which I think is a big part of the plot of the story. Its going to be very interesting where the story goes and I just can't wait to get more of Krissa, Lexie, Fox, Owen and the whole gang. Favourite character atm would have to be Felix he is just so epic! If you want to start this series I would definitely give it a go as its a really different play on witches among other things *wink wink*

The First book - Crystal Magic

Goodreads Synopsis "Nothing is safe around Kristyl Barnette. Windows break. Books rocket across the room. Lights flicker. Strange occurrences follow the sixteen-year-old everywhere.

When tragedy forces her to move to the small town of Clearwater, Michigan, with her estranged aunt Jodi, Kristyl tries to leave her past behind. But Clearwater has secrets of its own—a mystical history that intersects with Kristyl’s life and might shed light on the inexplicable events that plague her.

When a mysterious illness threatens her aunt’s life, Kristyl will do anything to cure her. Enlisting the help of witches could save Jodi, but is dealing in magic worth the consequences? "

UNTITLED 4TH BOOK by KRESLEY COLE

I really really love this series I read it at the perfect time and it just captured me in completely, the main character Evie is so funny and to watch her journey through as she comes to deal not just with whats happening with her but with the world around her! Plus sexy Jack does help always and the other lovely yet insanely creepy Death. The downside I have no cover, no sysopsis and a rough date of Spring 2016 so maybe May... The plot and idea behind this series is so awesome and unique I have no idea how she came up with it but am thankful she did! Its like hunger games meets superheroes meets awesome! there was just something about the story that just gripped me but I will say it is not for the younger readers, to me it is more New Adult than Young Adult, I mean this woman is epic at Adult romance paranormal so you know there is a few VERY racy scenes I can tell you that. The relationships and the characters are great and I feel like its a well put together series I can't wait to see what happens especially now that it is a full blown series now! AND looks like it is following the same way as many other books like Shadowhunter Series to be a TV show too.
Oh and dayum can we have a second to look at these beautiful covers I mean well donw so much better then the ones with the people on them!

The First Book - Poison Princess

Goodreads Synopsis "She could save the world—or destroy it.

Sixteen-year-old Evangeline "Evie" Greene leads a charmed life, until she begins experiencing horrifying hallucinations. When an apocalyptic event decimates her Louisiana hometown, Evie realizes her hallucinations were actually visions of the future—and they're still happening. Fighting for her life and desperate for answers, she must turn to her wrong-side-of-the-bayou classmate: Jack Deveaux.

But she can't do either alone.

With his mile-long rap sheet, wicked grin, and bad attitude, Jack is like no boy Evie has ever known. Even though he once scorned her and everything she represented, he agrees to protect Evie on her quest. She knows she can't totally depend on Jack. If he ever cast that wicked grin her way, could she possibly resist him?

Who can Evie trust?

As Jack and Evie race to find the source of her visions, they meet others who have gotten the same call. An ancient prophesy is being played out, and Evie is not the only one with special powers. A group of twenty-two teens has been chosen to reenact the ultimate battle between good and evil. But it's not always clear who is on which side."

CREEPYHOLLOW BOOK 6 by RACHEL MORGAN

So another book without a release date without a cover and without a synopsis... This is where I get worried like with the 4th book in the Arcana Chronicles with so much little information to go on I have no idea when this next book will come out. This is a continuation of an original series that followed Violet in her epic Faerie battle now in the next half of this series we follow Calla who is one badass guardian like Violet. There is a lot of cross over between the 2 series so it does help to have started from the beginning and at the 5th book it kinda is still a continuation of the first 3 from Violets POV. I love Calla though and think I love her story more, she is more relatable for me than Violet who was a bit of an outcast and very determined where Calla is determined but relaxed and wants to enjoy being younger. The story is set in an epic Faerie world where we have guardians who protect the Humans from the other creatures that exist to cause trouble yo!
I love the world as I really enjoy a series if the world is built properly and well done girl! And was my first Faerie book too! Lets hope this book comes out this year fingers crossed.

The First Book - The Faerie Guardian

Goodreads Synopsis

"Protecting humans from dangerous magical creatures is all in a day’s work for a faerie training to be a guardian. Seventeen-year-old Violet Fairdale knows this better than anyone—she’s about to become the best guardian the Guild has seen in years. That is, until a cute human boy who can somehow see through her faerie glamor follows her into the Fae realm. Now she’s broken Guild Law, a crime that could lead to her expulsion.

The last thing Vi wants to do is spend any more time with the boy who got her into this mess, but the Guild requires that she return Nate to his home and make him forget everything he’s discovered of the Fae realm. Easy, right? Not when you factor in evil faeries, long-lost family members, and inconvenient feelings of the romantic kind. Vi is about to find herself tangled up in a dangerous plot—and it’ll take all her training to get out alive."

LADYMIDNIGHT by CASSANDRA CLARE

Finally a book with a set release date and everything! I was so sad that this book got pushed back last year but dayum I am so excited to read this! I LOVE both the Infernal Devices and the Mortal Instruments I just can't wait for a new spin on this series and the characters sound so exciting! I know you can start at any of the series but I would totally recommend readying as the books were published this helped connect everything so much and I just can't guys the fan girl is real when it comes to this series. It is set in LA following Emma Carstairs (EH!) with the backlash from the last book in the Mortal Instruments. Its going to go so much deeper into the Shadow world and we get more Faerie which I am excited about as she hasn't really gone into this much in her series. It is set to come out on March 8th and that isn't even far away people so get this series going!

The First Book - Ladymidnight (Dat cover yo!)

Goodreads Synopsis

"Los Angeles. It’s been five years since the events of the Mortal Instruments when Nephilim stood poised on the brink of oblivion and Shadowhunter Emma Carstairs lost her parents. After the blood and violence she witnessed as a child, Emma has dedicated her life to to discovering exactly what it was that killed her parents and getting her revenge.

Raised in the Los Angeles Institute with the Blackthorn family, Emma is paired as a parabatai with her best friend, Julian Blackthorn. A series of murders in the city catch her attention — they seem to have the same characteristics as the deaths of her parents. Could the murderer be the same person? And her attention isn’t the only one caught: someone has been murdering Downworlders as well. The Fair Folk make a deal with the Institute: if the Blackthorns and Emma will investigate the killings, they’ll return Mark Blackthorn to his home. The catch: they have only two weeks to find the killers. Otherwise it’s open war between faeries and Nephilim.

The Shadowhunters of the Institute must race against time to catch the killers, even as they begin to suspect the involvement of those closest to them. At the same time, Emma is falling in love with the one person in the world she’s absolutely forbidden by Shadowhunter Law to love. Set against the glittering backdrop of present-day Los Angeles, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches from the warlock-run nightclubs of the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica."

FROM BURNING ASHES by STACEY MARIE BROWN

This is the 4th and final book in the Collector series and I am so excited to see how this is going to end, I first found Stacey Marie Brown when I read her Darkness Series which I really loved and I just finally thought I needed to get back into this world. The Collector series is a spin off series to this following different characters and how they deal with a big "natural" disaster in Seattle, it lumps hard ass Zoey with an epic viking Fae called Ryker and a cute loud mouth monkey sprite as they have to deal with what they are and there enemies. Its a fun twist on the Fae genre and yet super creepy at the same time, The bad guys are bad and gross but I still love the story, and can't wait to see how this all goes down. The characters are great, especially Zoey who is so funny and has been through so much that she brings a lot to the story and the mysterious wanderer Ryker is a really good contrast to her character plus when you add a monkey sprite and an super funny Pirate "trader" Fae it makes for a very funny and kickass book. No cover or release date but should be out sometime in Spring 2016, oh and not for the younger readers either it would fall into the New Adult category with some rather racy scenes and really gross ones too actually.

The First Book - City in Embers

Goodreads Synopsis

"Zoey Daniels has been tossed from foster home to foster home, where she grows up fast and tough. When she is placed in her “last-chance” home, she finds a reason to stay and turn her life around: her foster sister, Lexie, who is paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. Zoey will do anything to keep her safe. After high school, Zoey is hired by a special government agency, the Department of Molecular Genetics (DMG), where she meets the other reason to remain: Daniel, her co-worker. The man she loves.

But there is something unique about Zoey. She can see fae. Because of this, the DMG hires her to work as a Collector: catching, researching, testing, and using the fae to save human lives. The work never registers on her sympathy radar. She was raised to think of fae as beasts that feed on humans and want to destroy them.

When devastation hits Seattle, Zoey's whole world is turned upside down. The electric storm connects her to a ruthless fae, a Wanderer named Ryker, whose dealings expose them to even more trouble and danger. They embark on a journey, running and hiding from both the government and fae, both of which threaten their lives and those they love"

BEAUTIFUL DARKNESS #2 by SARRA CANNON

SO another book with no cover no plot and no release date, I have seen from the author that she is looking at putting this book out this year but as she has so much going on she isn't so sure when she will be able to. This is a series and author I have talked about alot and I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of the first book in this series from the author which was super call and so exciting! To get an ARC is actually insane. This is really spin off series to her original Peachville HIgh Demon series as it follows the same characters as they take on there next enemy and continue to take down the Order of Shadows. I would recommend that you read the first series first just because it gives you a great idea in to the world and the characters but the cool thing about this one is that you get to hear from more POVs I talked alot about that in my review so definitely check that out. The author did say you can start here if you like instead of reading the other series so it is up to you.

The First Book - Emerald Darkness

Goodreads Synopsis

"Killing a priestess in the most evil organization of witches in the world has its consequences.

Harper Brighton is standing on the precipice of a great and terrible war. The Sapphire demon gates have fallen, but the four remaining priestesses of the Order of Shadows and their ruler--the mysterious High Priestess--continue to enslave demons from the Shadow World to steal their power.

Harper and her friends in the Demon Liberation Movement target the Emerald gates--led by a dangerous and far more cunning enemy than any they have ever faced. No one is safe. Destruction comes in the blink of an eye, and the entire human world finds itself frozen, locked in perpetual darkness.

Now, Harper must battle her darkest fears in order to save those she loves most. Will she lead them to victory or will everything they've fought for be lost forever?"

THE RAVEN KING by MAGGIE STIEFVATER

I am so beyond excited for this book! This series I started a few years ago now and OMG its so amazingly good, the characters the world the plot I could talk about this series for ages and ages plus that cliff hanger in the 3rd book and yo take a look at dem covers I mean those are some works of art!. This series follows Blue the daughter of a bunch of clairvoyants yet she is not and when she goes with her aunt to see the people that will die that year until she sees her first one, she sees Gansey, a Raven boy and she is drawn to him. And madness insues! the plot of this book is so hard to explain that going in blind is actually a good thing and made this series so much more exciting for me just so good! The characters are fantastic, I love Blue and Gansey but also Adam, Noah and especially Ronan plus there epic mission is just great, you will never guess what is coming next a highly rated series!. The last book in the series comes out this March around the end.

The First Book - The Raven Boys

Goodreads Synopsis

""There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark’s Eve,” Neeve said. “Either you’re his true love . . . or you killed him.”

It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.

Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.

His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore."

THE POWER by JENNIFER L ARMENTROUT

This is the second book in the Titan series following the character of Seth from the Covenant Series as he deals with the impending Titan doom! Thats probs a really bad synopsis but I'm too pumped for this book to really not make it dramatic!. I loved the first book and again its not really young reader friendly as I would say that it was New Adult. I loved Seth as a character and am super happy to see that he gets his own series, all you know how excited I am for this I mean I post tiny teeny snippets from the trailer that our girl Jennifer releases I can't get enough of this mythology and especially her play on it. I love her writing style and any book that I read from this amazing author is a hit with me. I do have a challenge that I will read all her fantasy novels and am now just down to 2! If you love Greek mythology get into this series!

The First book - The Return

Goodreads Synopsis

"The Fates are cackling their bony asses off…

It’s been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they’ve given him have been violent and bloody–which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. He’s got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.

Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy’s deal might be, but it’s a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.

But it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all.

Because history has once again been flipped to repeat."

PERFEKT BALANCE by S.T BENDE

This is the 3rd book in the The Ære Saga which I believe is a series of novels each following a different epic female character as she gets caught up in the craziness that is Asgard, some of them follow humans who meet gods, another follows a Valkyrie and this one follows a High Healer of Asgard. I first found S.T Bende when I read her Elsker series which was awesome I might add and I love mythology so learning more about Norse was just so cool! They need more books about mythology people! The stories and characters are great and very easy to power through these books, especially the lovely Gods in these books Ull, Gunner the list goes on and on. I really like that this saga tells each of a different female but still follows the same assortment of characters and I just need me some mythology, if anyone has some more recommendations let a girl know!.

The First book - Perfekt Order

Goodreads Synopsis

"All's fair when you're in love with War.

Book 2

There are so many books to read this year and I am ready to get into this! But I do need these books now!

I hope you are doing well
Peace : )
