Some sites to check out!

Hey!

So thought I would try to do another blog, I want to try do something different so I'm definitely trying to make some more newer blogs maybe some reviews!

Shadowhunter Tarot cards
But today I want to talk about a couple of illustrators that I really like and a store for jewelry based on book series! There are heaps of these people that do such amazing work but these are the ones I know the most, if you have more idea than totally let me know!

First there is Cassandra Jean! She is amazing like wow I love her art work they look so detailed and she puts a lot of work into making it just perfect. And I really like how she does a lot of different characters from many different books too. There is Shadowhunters from Cassandra Clare's books, the Ravan Boys by Maggie Stiefvater, A lot of series by Holly Black and much more!

Vixen, Santa's Reindeer
Manga she worked on
I know that she has worked a lot with authors such as Cassandra Clare and made specific projects such as tarot cards which you can now buy! And she even did the Manga for beautiful creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

She also has her own original art such as the reindeer series where she has re done Santa's reindeer's to have some personality and sass. She seems to be a gamer and makes art for some of the games she plays of her characters such as final fantasy and dragon age.

Athena portayal
Some of the art that I have loved of hers was the mythology series that she did where she designed the greek gods, they were amazing and beautiful and I think captured an amazing angle of them

The reason I love her art so much is because its individual but also it helps me picture details that I missed especially in the art she does for book characters, and you can even by some of her art on clothes and in print from a website called Society6 they have a bunch of cool art plus she is good at interacting with her followers.

Here is a link to her Tumblr where you can see her art and find her other media
(All images are from her tumblr)

The other artist that I love is Aegisdea!
Tessa, Will, Jem and Church (TiD
Who also sells prints and clothes on Society6 but also nuvango which makes t shirts with a full print of the art which I love the idea of! She also goes by the name of Drei

She has done heaps of different book art like Cassandra jean, the Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare (As you can tell one of my favourites!) Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan and his other series too but she also has done some work of the Amazing Spiderman and game of thrones.
Anabeth from Percy Series
Percy Jackson

She has some really cool original art as well and she has even done Visayans mythology which is some of my favourite art done by her! Its from where she is from the Philippines and its really awesome, its cool to learn new things like this. That has to be some of my favorite art I have ever seen so beautiful and just amazing, she has also done greek mythology with Cassandra Jean

Sirena: Mermaid
Libulan the Moon
Her art style to me is unique and sometimes can seem a little dark but I love it! The colours she uses and the detail that she goes into is awesome! Its cool how she does show some of her concepts and how she gets from the start of a design such as a face to being a completed picture where she actually interacts with everyone and tells you how she does it or just answers random questions which is really awesome for people looking into doing this kind of art more.
The most amazing thing is she is young still going through college which is epic to think she juggles all her art selling things and every day life what a awesome woman!

Here you can find her tumblr which shows her art but also connections to her media
(All images are from her tumblr)

The last thing I want to talk about is an amazing jewelry site called Hebel design!

Tessa's Clockwork Angel!
They make jewelry based on book series and have a wide selection necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings!. It is all inspired by the different books whether its directly in the book or a representation of characters they have everything and the quality is amazing! I do have a piece myself surprised by my boyfriend who bought me Tessa's from the Infernal devices by Cassandra Clare Clockwork angel pendant and its amazing it has such great detail and is top notch quality highly recommend there workman ship.

Apollyon Bracelet

They are based in the US but they do ship internationally so people do need to be aware of the costs that could involve however for international people if you spend more than 60 bucks you can get free shipping!

Some Shadowhunter Earrings
The book series they have at the moment are Covenant, Dark Elements, Edenbrooke/Blackmoore, Grisha Trilogy, Iron Fey, Lux, Lynburn Legacy, Magisterium, Modern Faerie Tales, Sweet Trilogy, Shadowhunters Chronicles, Talon and The Selection. Plus they have some other jewelry Signature which has somethings outside these categories and also have basic cords, chain, bracelets for if you buy a pendant or something you can pick up a nice piece
They also have a clearance section where you can pick up some great bargains!

Aidans Rose Pendant
Anna and Kaidan's Rings
Highly recommend checking these guys out beautiful jewelry and its great to see pieces you have pictured in your head come to life from Aidan's rose pendant in the covenant series by Jennifer L Armentrout to Anna or Kaidan's ring in the Sweet Trilogy by Wendy Higgins! definitely worth it, I love my pendant that I got from them

Here you can find the website for the jewelry! (All images are from there website)

These are just some of the cool pages I like, for jewelry do try Etsy its a great website and you can find some amazing things on there too!

I hope you are doing well and have a great day
Peace : )

Games I want to play!

Hey

So because of my new obsession with Twitch (You should all check it out if you love streaming of games and everything!) I have wanted to expand my gaming experience and move from flash games to a real gamer!

Here are a small list of games that I want to get into and play! Though they are in no particular order with a small description of each game and why I want to play it

1. Darkest Dungeon

“Darkest Dungeon is a challenging gothic RPG about the stresses of dungeon crawling. You will lead a band of heroes on a perilous side-scrolling descent, dealing with a prodigious number of threats to their bodily health, and worse, a relentless assault on their mental fortitude! Five hundred feet below the earth you will not only fight unimaginable foes, but famine, disease, and the stress of the ever-encroaching dark. Darkest Dungeon focuses on the humanity and psychological vulnerability of the heroes and asks: What emotional toll does a life of adventure take?
Darkest Dungeon is not a game where every hero wins the day with shiny armor and a smile. It is a game about hard trade-offs, nearly certain demise, and heroic acts“

This game is epic! I have had a small play of it and have watched it being played on twitch. Its such a challenging game where you could play it again and again with every outcome would come out differently (Trust me I have started more than once).  The characters are great and different with some cool abilities and the villains are creepy gross and awesome. The game is still in its early stages however and the ending isn't completely finished plus there is some little annoyances and the enough of stress the characters go through can be frustrating as they can go insane and that can make the level you are on a lot harder but I think this game has such great potential to be awesome and I want in on it!

2. Heros of Newerth

“Heroes of Newerth pits two teams of players against each other: the Legion and the Hellbourne Both teams are based at opposite corners of the map in their respective bases. Bases consist of buildings, creep spawn points, towers, a hero spawning pool, and a central structure. The goal of the game is to either destroy the central structure, the World Tree (Legion) or Sacrificial Shrine (Hellbourne), of the opposite base or force the other team to concede. Players achieve this by selecting heroes with unique skills to combat the other team.. The different game modes are: Co-op, Player Hosted, Normal, and Casual. Co-op matches players either with other players or with bots against a team of bots. Player Hosted allows players to customize their games and then host them to a list for others to join. Casual is similar to a Normal game in terms of layout and game play. However, they differ in other ways such as an included courier for each side at the start of the game and increased gold and experience earnings throughout each match. In Matchmaking games, Heroes of Newerth groups players by their Match Making Rating (MMR) via an algorithm. A new player has an MMR of 1500 and then each ranked game played changes that MMR, going up if the player wins and down if the player loses“

The aim of this game is to destroy the other teams bases with your team and the help of creeps! You level up and buy cool items to boost your skills.
There are heaps of heroes that you can be all with different skills and abilities, now I know that there is debate as to whats better HoN, LOL (League of Legends) and Dota 2 but I have just decided on the one I had been exposed to first which was HoN. Its a good strategy game and its cool to think I can play with people all over the world! Plus the heroes are super cool and look cool too I love looking through the avatars tehe

3. Starbound

“In Starbound, you take on the role of a character who’s just fled from their home planet, only to crash-land on another. From there you’ll embark on a quest to survive, discover, explore and fight your way across an infinite universe. You’ll encounter procedural generated creatures and weapons, discover populated villages and abandoned temples. Explore planets dotted with dungeons, eyeball trees and treasure. Make use of over a hundred materials and over one thousand in-game objects to build a sprawling modern metropolis or a sleepy secluded cabin in the woods, and do all of it alone or with friends!

Starbound lets you live out your own story of space exploration, discovery and adventure. Settle down and farm the land, hop from planet to planet claiming resources, or make regular visits to populated settlements, taking on jobs and earning a living. NPCs are scattered about the worlds, offering quests and challenges for those looking for a little extra excitement in their lives.

Discover new crops, creatures and weapons, capture monsters to keep as companions and clear dungeons of their loot. Complete quest lines that let you delve into the greater galactic mysteries! From abandoned bunkers to creepy temples, Starbound’s richly detailed universe offers a host of places to investigate and tales to unfold. Follow the story or create your own, experience the game how YOU want to.

Players love to get creative, and with Starbound, we've tried to offer as much creative scope as possible. Foraging and crafting provides the player with numerous resources and items to kit themselves out to suit their playing style. Building allows you to create wonderful, expansive worlds to call your own. Then head off into the wilderness of multiplier. Customize your spaceship to be your home away from home, then journey to an uncharted planet, and lay down the building blocks for a new life.”

This game sounds really cool you have a space ship and you move from planet to planet doing quests and collecting items for your ship and yourself. I have watched this game  a lot and its still in development as well with updates and what not but I think this game can be really awesome plus getting to pick what kind of people means you get different outfits and get to look cool with epic weapons. I think its a little different and more like the games I have played in the past.

4. H1Z1

“Enter a world that has been overrun by zombies and fellow survivors since the H1Z1 virus outbreak. Fight for your life against the infected and against the brutality of others as you attempt to live and see another day. Every moment is borrowed time with one question to answer… Will You Survive? “

This game like many on this list is in the alpha stage and before anyone wants to buy it you should know that there are bugs because they are still working on it. And one thing I like about it is the fact that with early access they actually want you to comment and give your own advice to make the game better, from watching twitch streamers you see that the developers are actually watching too and being streamers themselves so that they see and hear the problems. This game just seems cool with collecting and getting to build its like a shooting game mixed with mine craft :P And it doesn't just have the freedom for you to roam around collecting resources, building a base and fighting not only zombies but other players you can also play battle royal. Where you fight against a big group of people with massive gun loot and its a fight tot he death not only against players but killer toxic gas!
Super excited to give this a go as it looks fun and different and who doesn't love kicking some zombie butt, who knows maybe its good practice if a real zombie apocalypse!

5. Counter Strike

This game has been around for a long time and I have been watching it for a very long time but I kinda want to give it a go with the newest one to come out, the basic description of this game is that you are in 2 teams terrorists and counter terrorists and you have to shoot each other while the terrorists try to plant a bomb to win.
There are many different types in the new version which are:

Classic: Competitive
This is the classic game play that made Counter-Strike famous. Queue up and join a 5v5 best-of-30 match using standard competitive Counter-Strike rules on one of the classic maps. You can join a match on your own, or form a team and enter a match as a unit.

Classic: Casual
Ready to play some Counter-Strike, but don’t want to commit to a full match? Find a casual match and play at your own pace. In Casual mode, players automatically receive body armor and defusal kits and gain bonus rewards for kills.

Demolition
In demolition mode, players take turns attacking and defending a single bombsite in a series of maps designed for fast-paced gameplay. Players are automatically granted a starting weapon, and advance through a sequence of firearms when they register a kill. If you’re up to the challenge, you can try to register a kill each round and reach the ultimate weapons, powerful sniper rifles!

Arms Race
Arms race is a gun-progression mode featuring instant re spawning and a ton of close-quarter combat. Players gain new weapons immediately after registering a kill as they work their way through each weapon in the game. Get a kill with the final weapon, a golden knife, and win the match.

I'm excited to start something kinda difficult for me by playing a full shooter game as I haven't played any before and twitch has also helped me learn more about it too! I want to try something different. And this one looks really cool and all of the CS seem really good so I might try play a couple!

If any games sound exciting leave one in the comments, and I might do another list soon too of more games!

I hope you are doing well and have a great day
Peace : )

(Info and pictures from Steam for each game, I own nothing but the free words yo)

Germany Culture, learning the language and Food Glore

Hey!

I thought I would talk a little bit about my first opinions of this glorious county and what I have seen so far.
The inside of my Favourite museum
The German culture is seen as a big drinking culture and it is but so so much more! First the lame stuff there are so many amazing museums and history here, I have gotten to experience that quite a bit having done a museum day where I did museum island. That is I believe 4 museums and a national art gallery woop woop. I have also been to a couple of other museums too. The history is awesome yo I highly recommend coming here to just look around and look at the buildings such beauty! I do think that one oft he reasons I like it so much is because the architecture is so different to what I have at home as NZ isn't a very old country especially not as old as Europe is.
Probs my favoutite building!
But there is so much more to do there are some great clubs and bars to try, even a pub where they only speak English and have lots of sports such as rugby and cricket from the UK, Australia, NZ and what not so makes me feel right at home! Hoping to catch some All Blacks Games (NZ Rugby team, if you don't know what rugby is look it up its awesome!). There is heaps of sports fields to watch Football (Soccer) too this city has it all!
I did go to a small Oktoberfest and it was pretty awesome!

Wish I could do that...
Cute Animals!
The people are great and in a lot oft he places you go such as malls everyone speaks English so when my German is having a bad day I can just speak English. Plus the Zoo and aquarium is flipping awesome loved the polar bears and elephants, I am an animal fan though the map is expensive and the stuff in the gift shops are too but love me some animals.
So what I have learned about the German language is that… its really hard! I have been having a lot of trouble with the language, learning a whole new language is crazy, I really wish I had taken the chance to learn German in high school I fit weren't fort he fact that I didn't like that teacher

I have got apps even on my phone to help me learn, free Babbel and Pons which is awesome I even have a dictionary sort of app. Apps are just awesome sometimes soon they will have apps for everything. I also live in a house full of Germans so that is helping me but its complicated yo. I learnt a language in high school and that's so much easier!

The don't freak out phase of learning a language
Too many words not enough time phase

This thing is awesome in bread form
I love food! Food is like my meaning of life and I have been used to all of my Kiwi foods like my good old Sunday roasts and everything but nope don’t have that here.
And that's okay with me I like to try new things and I have been, here I have had a lot of Potatoes and sausages. The weird thing for me is having bread for dinner, normally I have a hot meal for dinner but nope here I have bread with lots of different things on them like meats and cheese woo haha
And the hot meal is at lunch where I had sandwiches or even a meal. I know this probably sounds stupid for everyone else but for me its super weird.
It tastes better than it looks honest!
I have discovered a magical food however called Döner! This is like a kebab in bread and its so good om nom nom I definitely will miss this if I go home oh and Currywurst! It's like a sausage in curry sauce simple haha but awesome and you have it with hot chips or Pommes in the Deutsch language :D

I like the tradition that comes with being here and especially with there food some o fit is so fulling and amazing but in meats that I haven’t normally eaten so its a great experience to try new things that's what being here is all about for me to try new things and learn new skills

I love NZ and I will always love it that tiny bit more but its great to get out and explore the world, I highly recommend to everyone to get out of your comfort zone try something different, new and exciting cause you never know you might just love it.

Travel will Blow Your Mind!
I hope to have some gaming and TV show blogs up soon so look out fort hat. I know this is a little random to talk about but I wanted to share my experiences maybe you can share yours

I hope your doing well and have a great day
Peace : )

Streaming and Twitch!

Hey!

So I have discovered something a couple of months ago (Probably why I haven't been posting as much as I wanted to... My Bad) And that is TWITCH!

Twitch is a site where you can watch people who play a bunch of different games, I think its a great idea and really actually want to give it a go, as you all may know from a couple of my other posts I am a Wannabe gamer, I like to think I can actually game but really I can't much.
Twitch website Here
But watching these guys play makes me want to play so many more games! Guild Wars 2, Darkest Dungeon, Heros of Newerth, Counter Strike, H1z1, and so so much more. I have been watching a couple of streamers that I have come to love watching, they are so funny and its great how you can talk to them through chat with other people following but also its cool how if you need tips for games or even just info about good gamer set ups a lot of them will give you there 2 cents about it

I have been trying to also look for new games to play too because there are heaps and heaps of games and heaps and heaps of different people too so if you don't like the first one you find you will totally find another.

I have found that I like Cohhcarnage who is a really interactive with the people in chat and the people who sub to him. He plays some survival games but also RPGs (role playing games for the ones like me who don't know much) and he is funny but if your more of a fan of play constantly and not so much talking and interaction then he may not be for you. To be honest one of the reasons I like Cohh is the fact that he does talk lots and that he does explain and give tips.
Cohhs Twitch Here
Cohhs website Here

Another streamer I have found who I like is Lirik, he play a bit of everything and is very popular on twitch where a lot of his streams he will have like 30,000 people watching him! He has some cool days where he will play games that his subs vote for and he talks and has a lot of interesting conversations though he does swear... a lot hahaha. But he has a lot of opinions on different gaming devices and different games, I do really love the wide variety of games he does end up playing especially on sub sunday!

Liriks twitch can be found here!
I would keep listing streamers but that would make this post mega long, watching people play games makes me want to play games and I am hoping to get into playing more games its just quite expensive especially to get a good gaming computer, Gosh darn it! It is cool though that if you miss there live stream you can still watch parts of it later and a lof of the streamers also have youtube channels for some best bits!

If you guys know any cool streamers let me know and definitely check Twitch out if you like games, I even found some kiwi streamers!

I hope your doing well and have a great day!
Peace :)

(I own nothing all of the links are from twitch and the pictures from there youtubes)

Guys these covers! Oh My Goodness!

Hey Guys!

I need to share this on my blog because these are some of the most amazing covers I have ever seen!
This is the first two books in the Firebird Trilogy by Claudia Gray and the 2nd book cover has recently been released and I'm super excited to read these.

Here is the synopsis for the 1st in the series A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU
"Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their groundbreaking achievements. Their most astonishing invention, called the Firebird, allows users to jump into multiple universes—and promises to revolutionize science forever. But then Marguerite’s father is murdered, and the killer—her parent’s handsome, enigmaticassistant Paul— escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.
Marguerite refuses to let the man who destroyed her family go free. So she races after Paul through different universes, always leaping into another version of herself. To accomplish her goal, she must learn how each world works, and confront the many people she has the capacity to become. But she also meets alternate versions of the people she knows — including Paul, whose life entangles with hers in increasingly familiar ways. Before long she begins to question Paul’s guilt—as well as her own heart. And soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is far more sinister than she expected.
A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU explores an amazingly intricate multi-universe where the truth is elusive, and love the greatest mystery of all."
This first cover is beautiful, how does it get better!
Beautiful Covers! Can't wait for the next one!
Both these covers are so beautiful! The first novel is already out but Ten Thousand Skies Above you comes out November 3rd! These covers are just DAYUM awesome such beautiful work has gone into these and does show the time traveler elements as the covers show the different cities

I have also read a couple of her other series which I enjoyed if you want to check them out, the Evernight series about Vampires and so so much more and also the Spellcaster series about these epic witches!

If you want more info check out Claudia's website and she has a blog where she updates heaps here

I hope your doing well and have a great day
Peace : )
