My Thoughts (I will be as less spoilery as I can)

I will say it again I really love the magic system in these books! its so unique to use memories to cast magic and with that different memories have different powers. This follows the events of the 2nd book where we see Nadia and her friends have to not only deal with what Nadia has done but also work out a way to stop all the crazy stuff happening in there once peaceful town.

I liked the way that we got to see more of the town as a lot of the time we were seeing the effects of Elizabeths magic but also seeing it through other peoples eyes, like Verlaine and Mateo even Asa.
I enjoyed the new addetion to the story Asa, he was a nice lighthearted edge to the books and matched Verlaines sarcastic and firey side, he was very like able and you could see how really he was stuck in the middle of the whole mess.

One thing I liked also was becasue of Nadias choices we got to see more into Elizabeths world and see how she lives but also how her mind kind of works and how her feelings for Nadia change were she con munipulate her so well. One thing I was not expecting was the way events unfolded were the town was coming undone and people were starting to realize and begin to wonder what was really going on in there town. It sometimes has such small town syndrome that it gets annoying but this book really opened up the story and you got a much bigger picture.

I LOVED hearing from Verlaine this was something I was super excited about as she slowly has her story merging with Nadias. It was great to see her come into her own and get a lot of the book from her perspective especially when we get blinded by the feelings Nadia and Mateo have for each other you get Verlaines at times blunt explaination which made the book so enjoyable for me. One thing I didn#t like so much was it felt a little insta lovey with her love interest. Don't get me wrong I was happy to see her find someone that saw passed her curse and really see who she was but it just annoyed me at times. I did like how you would see Nadia and Mateo see it at times too.

I did just feel blah about hearing from Elizabeth she wasn't a full character for me she was a bit repeadative in her thoughts and I get that she wanted the one beneath but yeah girl needs a new hobby.

I will say at times I didn't like the way it would switch from character to character and at times the flow was lost for me where I felt like we were just going through the motions of the story and in sections I just wish we had dalve deeper into it. It was a very fast read for me (even though I kept forgetting to update goodreads -_-).

I did feel like at times it was predictable but I was happy with Nadia and Mateos relationship I felt like I did know where it was heading but at times I was like dayum! especially when it comes to Mateo anyone who has read the book will know what I mean!!! I really did enjoy the way the 3 main characters interacted together too there friendships at times was strained but they knew each other and would always come back.

Overall it was enjoyable book as I did like the characters and story, I would have liked more and the ending for me needed just that little bit extra which is why I rate it 4 Stars!

Reviews are coming, series ones get ready!

I hope you are doing well and have a great day!
